Teachers, Lauren Trumbo & Christy Hall

Lauren Trumbo

Celebrating her 10th year teaching Pre-Kindergarten, Lauren Trumbo is the full time K4 teacher at Montgomery Christian Academy.  Mrs. Trumbo grew up in Southern California where her journey in becoming an Early Childhood Educator began. She taught for six years at Maranatha Christian School and two years at Bright Horizons Early Learning Center before opening her own preschool, Blossoming Hearts, in 2015. With an extensive background in theological studies from Calvary Chapel Bible College, Mrs. Trumbo is in the process of completing her degree in Early Childhood Education at Liberty University.

Mrs. Trumbo and her family are new to Montgomery, coming to us from Denver, Colorado. She enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family and spending time surrounded by loved ones, music, and good BBQ.  She is eager to get connected in our community and make herself at home here at MCA. Montgomery Christian Academy has a special place in her heart because the vision of planting God's truths in young hearts aligns with her passion of seeing lives transformed by the love of Jesus. Mrs. Trumbo is honored to be a part of the MCA team and serve the families that have entrusted us to shepherd the hearts of their precious babies.

Christy Hall

Christy Hall is a native Houstonian and graduate of Texas A&M with a degree in Elementary Education.  She has been teaching children for the last 30 years in a variety of capacities including: elementary classrooms; Pre-K Christian schools; science camps, as both a teacher and curriculum writer; and as a Sunday School teacher and volunteer.

Mrs. Hall married her husband, Dude, in 1986, and after six years in the Marine Corps, they returned to Montgomery County in 1992.  They have lived in Montgomery for 15 years and have been members of Fellowship of Montgomery for 13 years.  They have four children: Clayton, his wife Leigh and granddaughter Catherine are in Conroe; Chase is a Marine Officer stationed in Camp Pendleton, California; Caleb is a Junior at Texas A&M, and Caroline is a Freshman at Dallas Baptist University.

After a brief break from education to help with the family business, Mrs. Hall is excited to be back in the classroom as the Assistant Teacher in the K4 class at MCA.  When not teaching or working she loves family time, cooking, sewing,  growing vegetables and flowers, and especially growing children in the Word of God.

My Father's World Pre-K for 4s — Voyage of Discovery

In this complete program, children gain academic readiness skills with the alphabet and numbers and enjoy read aloud times. They'll learn about their community — post office, fire station, church, grocery store — and make delightful science discoveries. They'll develop fine and large motor skills and increase in cognitive skills. Most important, they'll learn God's truth and be encouraged to live it in their lives.
