5th, 6th, 7th Grade Math

Teacher, Carol Ann Ashworth

Carol Ann Ashworth is our 5th, 6th, and 7th Grade Math teacher. Mrs. Ashworth has been teaching for almost 27 years, with over 20 of those in Christian education. As a former math major in college, math is a passion of hers!

Mrs. Ashworth was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, and first attended college in Nashville where she met her husband, Steve.

Mrs. Ashworth and her husband have always been involved in church ministry and moved to Clemson, South Carolina in the late 1980’s to begin a campus ministry at Clemson University. Mrs. Ashworth returned to school and received her Elementary Education degree from Clemson University. After spending a few years teaching in public school in South Carolina, she and Steve moved to Texas in the late 1990’s, and she spent 19 years teaching at Northland Christian School. This past year, she taught at Christ Community School in The Woodlands and now she is thrilled to be a part of the team here at MCA!

Mrs. Ashworth has been married to Steve for almost 37 years. They have three daughters – Lindsey, 34, Allison, 30, and Cassie, 20. Her “pride and joy” is her three-year-old granddaughter named River. She and her husband are active with the worship ministry at Northside Christian Church in Spring, where Mrs. Ashworth is a lead vocalist.

In her spare time, Mrs. Ashworth is PASSIONATE about her Clemson Tigers (can’t you tell?!), and about sports, in general. Mrs. Ashworth’ passion for worship and sports is only matched by her passion for teaching. Being at MCA is a gift from God, she says, and she cannot wait to begin the new journey God has opened for her.
